SYNOPSIS

Pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, le danseur Jerry Jones met en scène un spectacle entièrement composé de soldats à Broadway, intitulé Yip Yip Yaphank. Blessé pendant la guerre, il devient producteur. Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, son fils Johnny Jones, qui était avant l'assistant de son père, reçoit l'ordre de monter un nouveau spectacle entièrement composé de soldats, intitulé This Is the Army. Mais dans sa vie personnelle, il a des problèmes, car il refuse d'épouser sa fiancée avant la fin de la guerre.
